Author Guidelines

If the article does not meet the stated requirements, the editorial board returns it to the author for revision.

The manuscript sent to the editorial office of the journal " Geoeconomics of Energetics" must be at least 75% original. If the article has a lower percentage of originality, the editorial board does not accept it for consideration, and it will be returned to the author for revision.

Reprint of previously published materials is not allowed.

If the fragments of the article have already been published earlier in another article, the authors should refer to earlier work and describe what is the significant difference between the new article and the previous one, demonstrate the relationship of the new results obtained with the conclusions that were presented in the earlier work.

The authors must confirm that the article proposed for publication has not been published before and has not been submitted for review and publication in another journal (or give an appropriate explanation in the Comments for the editor). Otherwise, the manuscript may be returned to the authors.

Materials are provided in MS Word electronic format; font – Times New Roman, size – 14 pt, line spacing – 1.5.

Before the main text of the article, the following should be submitted in Russian and English:

  • title of the article;
  • information about the author:

‒ surname, first name, patronymic of the author (sample design in Russian: Ivan Ivanovich Ivanov; in English: Ivan I. Ivanov)

‒ academic degree of the author, title, position

‒ full name of the organization (place of work of the author), its postal address, zip code, city, country

‒ the author's email address

‒ Author's ORCID

  • abstract (volume – 200-250 words);
  • keywords (8-10 words/phrases).

The abstract is made in the form of a short text that reveals the purpose and objectives of the work, its structure and main conclusions. The abstract is an independent analytical text and should give an adequate idea of the conducted research without the need to refer to the article.

In English, the abstract should be written in a competent academic language.

Link design

The article should have a bibliographic list in Russian and English. Each source from the list must be referenced in the text. The absence or insufficiency of the bibliographic list may cause the refusal to register the article.

References to scientific literature, analytical reports and articles in scientific publications should be issued in the form of intra-text bibliographic references indicating the names of the authors, the year of publication, pages. If the authorship is not indicated in the bibliographic description, its name must be given in the text link (a long title can be limited to an ellipsis; in the non-text list of references, all titles are given in full):

[Ivanov, 2012: 226]; [Vooren, Blockmans, Wouters, 2014: 258]; [Economic..., 2015: 5-18].

– Links to information, official and other sources, including Internet resources that are not scientific and analytical materials, should be given in a page-by-page footnote. At the same time, links to newspapers and magazines should include not only the title of the publication and the date of publication, but also the author and the title of the cited material, the page, number and year of issue (and, if there is free access, the Internet address of the corresponding page.

References

– The lists of literature in Russian and English are compiled alphabetically. They should include: scientific monographs and collections of scientific materials, articles in scientific periodicals and scientific and analytical reports.

– If the source has a DOI, it should be indicated at the end of the bibliographic description.

– The list of references in Russian, when making books, must include the surname and initials of the authors, the year of publication, the title of the book, the place of publication, the name of the publishing house, the total number of pages.

When making articles published in scientific journals, the surname and initials of the author, the year of publication, the title of the article, the title of the journal, the volume and number, the range of pages, for Internet publications, also the email address and the date of circulation (if available) are indicated.

To describe articles in collections or works published as part of ongoing series, the following should be given: the surname and initials of the author, the year of publication, the title of the article, collection or series, the place of publication, publisher, page range, for Internet publications, also the email address and the date of circulation.

The name of the basic source referred to by the author is highlighted in italics: the name of the periodical in which the cited article is published, the name of the monograph or collection to which the chapter is referenced. 

– In the English-language References list, all information about works in Russian must be correctly translated into English

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.

  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one and a half line spacing, font Times New Roman, 14 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).

  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.
